Heather Alexander, Youth Program Manager at the Alliance for Workforce Development, was honored at the California Workforce Association’s (CWA) annual spring conference. With this award, CWA recognizes and honors those who have contributed significantly to the workforce profession and to workforce development in their communities.
This award was created by CWA in honor of NoRTEC’s former Executive Director, Charlie Brown. Heather received this award because of her hard work and dedication to the WIOA youth program, particularly in the area of serving justice system involved youth. This program focuses on providing youth with a second chance to make something of their lives through education and training, with a focus on obtaining full-time employment and becoming productive members of society.
Heather accepted this award on May 3, 2018, at a luncheon in San Diego attended by more than 500 of her peers. Congratulations Heather!
