NoRTEC has been conditionally approved for $8 Million to provide temporary jobs for flood cleanup in our 11 counties. This funding will allow us to provide temporary workers to local governmental agencies and non-profits to clean up and repair damage from this winter’s flooding.
The California Workforce Development Board certified NoRTEC as a high performing local workforce development board. With this certification comes eligibility to receive incentive funding from the Governor’s discretionary fund. NoRTEC was just awarded $54,839 of incentive funding for PY 2016/2017.

The 3rd Annual SME Manufacturing Expo, formerly known as the North State Manufacturing Expo, will be held on November 10, 2016 at the California State University, Chico Bell Memorial Union (BMU). This is the first year the event will be hosted by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), a Chico State student organization.
